Mission
The Des Moines Jewish Federation provides outstanding programs at its community facility, The Caspe Terrace, to strengthen Jewish identity of individuals and families and to ensure quality Jewish experiences for Jews of all ages and backgrounds.
The Des Moines Jewish community is really composed of a variety of overlapping communities, varying in size, social diversity and ideological intensity. Jews need arenas and environments where Jews can find an easy welcome. Our programming provides opportunities for multiple gates of entry where Jews enter Jewish life and where they enhance their personal Jewish journeys.
Areas of Action
Our goal for programming is to plan flexible approaches to inspire and guide individuals and families to move along their Jewish journeys. We connect individuals with a wide variety of opportunities within the Jewish community to provide them with a rich growth and development.
We are developing new programs and services that engage an even broader cross-section of the community in areas of substantive Jewish involvement.
We also plan to strengthen existing and forge new collaborations and partnerships in order to leverage resources and maximize impact.
