To Help and Be Helped:  Israeli doctors speak

 

Dr. Sami Tobias grew up in Mexico, spent 10 years at the Cleveland Clinic, made aliyah a number of years ago and has opened the Department of Neurosurgery at Galilee Medical Center in our partnership region, the Western Galilee.  Dr. Tobias will share his experiences with us about treating Syrian civil war casualties at an Israeli hospital close to the Lebanese border.

 

Dr. Assaf Shemesh, is Israeli, went to medical school in Budapest and stayed. His medical specialization is Emergency Medicine and he is now a member of the National Directorate of Disaster Management in Hungary.  Dr. Shemesh will speak about his experience creating The Emergency Network for the Jewish community in Hungary.
