Special Programs at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum

A special USHMM program on July 15th to focus on the US mandate to protect Religious Freedom worldwide

  • Monday July 15, at 11:30 am, Hall of Remembrance at the Holocaust Museum – Join us for a candle lighting ceremony following a private tour for survivors of religious persecution attending the Ministerial from over twenty countries.  Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback, Museum Director Sara Bloomfield, and Holocaust survivor and Museum volunteer Irene Weiss will share reflections.  We expect tour participants from the Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Falun Gong, and Yezidi communities. They come from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, China, Cuba, Egypt, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Turkey, Vietnam, and Yemen.
