Welcome To Our New Website!

We’re excited to introduce you to our new Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines website! Through the new website, we worked to create a valuable tool for our community, updating information about our programs and making resources easier for you to find and use.

Explore the new website to see how we’ve improved your online experience, including each of our pillars and the online giving process. And don’t worry, you can still keep up with special events we’re hosting!

Educational Programs

We created online hubs for each of our educational programs, including Gan Shalom Preschool and Beit Sefer Shalom, with up-to-date information, helpful resources for parents and fun new photos. Each educational pillar now has a great place for you to learn the ins and out of registration, the different academic and enrichment programs and what a day in the life of our students looks like. Come summer, you’ll find everything you need for Engman Camp Shalom!

Jewish History

Our pages on the Iowa Jewish Historical Society (IJHS) are representative of the rich Jewish history in Iowa. Through the new website, we’ve added information on our oral histories project, including the personal story of Celina Karp Biniaz, one of the last living survivors from Schindler’s List. You’ll also find updated information about visiting the museum and our award-winning research.

Jewish Family Services

Our Jewish Family Services work to support and strengthen families. Through the new website, we revamped information about all of the services we provide, including Outreach Activities, the PJ Library, Senior Adult Services and Tzedakah. We welcome you to get in touch.

Online Giving

Our programs and services are funded by the generosity of our community, and the majority of that funding comes through the All-In-One Campaign. The campaign supports our programming, helps to send our teens to Israel, provides food, pays rent, and so much more for our families and seniors.

To make it easier for our supporters to give through the new site, we streamlined the whole donation process, keeping it on our site and using an easy-to-understand, secure donation form. Through the new process, you can even designate where your gift will go, including an option for our All-In-One Campaign.
